Pilgrimage November 7-9 Crown Coliseum Pilgrimage is a weekend event for UMYF and local church youth groups in which youth and adult advisors are challenged to a new or deeper faith in Jesus Christ. The content of the event will focus on evangelism, faith sharing and discipleship for youth and adult advisors to youth ministry. Pilgrimage is a time and place to discover that faith and discipleship can be fun!The Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville will host our group sessions. Our speaker will be Hope Morgan Ward, Bishop of the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church and a pastor originally from the NC conference. Our music leaders will be Chris Hughes, and the youth house band. Pilgrimage will feature large group sessions and much, much more. The theme for Pilgrimage 2008 is Pass It On. Just like the song says, "it only takes a spark to get a fire going." In our youth groups and churches and together at Pilgrimage for the weekend we experience that spark of God’s love and the fire of faith burns within us. We also hear God’s call upon our lives to be that spark to others and in other places. When we leave these special times and places, we need to pass it on so the world will know God’s love and the difference it makes in our lives. Your youth group will not want to miss this retreat as an opportunity to be together as a group of whatever size and to also be with hundreds of other youth from the United Methodist Church across eastern North Carolina. Cost: $15 per person (excludes meals and lodging) NOTE : A separate brochure for group registration is required for this event. This brochure will be available in the spring, 2008. A late fee of $25 applies to registrations received after the deadline.
