Summer Breakaway
- an event for youth from middle school to high school age - is an exciting week for youth to devote themselves to Christ through a Christian community establishing a strong relationship with God.The theme is Jesus to the Rescue. When we try to face difficulties and the trials of life on our own, alone, then we most times end up in trouble. King David knew this, as is expressed in many of the Psalms. Many who came to Jesus during his three years of ministry had discovered this as well. If we open our hearts and minds and lives to Him, Jesus our Savior will be there.
Each day at Breakaway features a morning assembly to celebrate community life, growth groups (by age levels) to focus on spiritual growth, meals in the cafeteria, movie groups (by age levels) to create and produce movies for a film festival at the end of the week, free time with some structured recreation offered, worship services and an evening program (icebreakers, concert, dance, talent show). The week concludes with an inspiring communion service on Friday night.
