Space Still Available
for Spring Retirement Planning Seminar
The NC Conference Board of Pension will host its annual Spring Retirement Planning Seminar on April 3-4, 2008, at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside Hotel. The seminar starts at 12:00 pm on Thursday and will end at 2:30 pm on Friday. This event is open to any clergy 50 or older. If you are considering retirement in the next 6 months to 9 years, this event will include vital information for you. If you are just beginning to think about retirement in the next 10 to 15 years, this seminar will help you prepare for that "distant" event. Topics will include legal and financial planning, information regarding your pension and insurance benefits after retirement, and preparation for lifestyle and relationship changes. Minister's Transition Fund
Want to know the best kept secret in the Conference? It's the Minister's Transition Fund (MTF)! Any ministerial member of the NC Annual Conference who is serving full time in an Episcopal appointment (including NC Annual Conference Institutions) is eligible to enroll.
To see if you might benefit from participation in this plan, use the MTF Projection tool (MS Excel file). Download this file by clicking on the link with the right mouse button and selecting "Save Target As." Then, identify where the file should be saved on your computer's hard drive.

Please review your bill carefully and contact (ext. 225) IMMEDIATELY if you have any questions concerning the amount, billing address, or pastor information.

To have payments deducted automatically from a checking or savings account, complete the Pension EFT form (PDF format) and return it to the address at the bottom of the form.
NOTE: When filling out the Pension Worksheet, if Utilities and/or Travel allowances are paid directly to the pastor and ARE NOT VOUCHERED, these amounts will be included with cash salary for pension calculations.
Track Your Pension and
Personal Investment Funds Online
The General Board of Pension and Health Benefits (GBOPHB) has a system to track your Pension and Personal Investment funds or PIP. The Online Account Services Information System, known as OASIS allows you to track your PIP by fund through any period you choose. You may also change the current and future allocations of your PIP funds at any time.
