Andrew Wheeler is Organist and Director of Music Ministries at Centenary United Methodist Church in Smithfield, NC where he directs three vocal choirs and three handbell/chime choirs.  He is a graduate of Chowan College in Murfreesboro and has studied with numerous teachers over the years, including James Marshall of Raleigh, also a Fellowship member.

In addition to The Fellowship, he is a member of The American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR) and The American Guild of Organists (AGO).  He is a former member of the Johnston County Choral Society.

Prior to his position at Centenary UMC, he served as organist at Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church in Selma, NC, and Divine St. UMC in Dunn, NC.  He has served as Director of Music/Organist at Four Oaks UMC, Four Oaks, NC and Benson UMC in Benson, NC.

He is married to Jacque Pierce Wheeler and they have a daughter, Lindsey, a sophomore at Clemson University.  They live near Benson.

    Mark Gourley became Director of Music Ministries at First Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, NC in July of 2007.  He has direct responsibility for approximately eight ensembles within a comprehensive Music Program of approximately sixteen choirs and ensembles.   He has previously served in a Lutheran Church followed by 23 years in the United Methodist Church, most recently being St. Paul UMC in Goldsboro, NC.
     
    He was the  Music Director of the Goldsboro Boychoir from 1992 - 1998.  He has a B.S. in Music Education from Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College) and has done extensive graduate study in Church Music at both Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and East Carolina University, where he also earned has Certification in Orff-Schulwerk  Levels I and II.   He has recently earned the Level I Handbell Director Certification in the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers.
     
    As a member of The Fellowship, he is a Past-President and currently Treasurer of the NC Conference Chapter of the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts and administrates the Chapter Website.  He has also been Coordinator of the NC Conference United Methodist Handbell Festival for a number of years.  Active in The American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR), he has served Area III as a District Chair, NC State Chair, Chair-Elect, Chair and Past Chair.   He is also a member of American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), Choristers Guild, The American Guild of Organists (AGO) and the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM), Association of Lutheran Musicians and the Presbyterian Association of Musicians.
     
    He is married to Judy Hunt Gourley, an Administrative Dietitian at O'Berry Center in Goldsboro, NC.  They are the parents of two children, Stephen Mark, a Kenan Organ Scholar  & Organ Performance Major at the North Carolina School of the Arts and a National FUMMWA scholarship recipient and Mary Frances, a College Freshman, planning a major in Nursing.
