I spoke on the floor!!!!! HAHA!!!! I spoke at my
Discipleship meeting against the idea of having
conference committees and district committees on
scouting, but since it came up on the floor of the
plenary, I had to do it again. The floor supported my
side of non-concurrence by roughly 75% to 25%. There
wasn’t an extreme amount of controversy or conflict
today just a lot of confusion. Financial matters just
get in the way sometimes. I still don’t quite
understand all of it. Controversy won’t be absent
tomorrow though. Church and society is up and I’m
pretty sure that I’ll witness some heated and
distressed emotions. I’m not really looking forward
to it.
Some more news: I’m going to Zimbabwe. I
already talked to some of the singers from the African
University Choir and they said I could. Yesterday’s
performances by them blew me away. I really am going
to be a professor at Africa University just so I can
listen to them everyday. Another you and I were
talking about going there, and we really are. I’m
excited.
General Conference has been a blast so
far, but still the longer days are to come. There’s
only a few days left, but they will definitely be the
longest.
