Pilgrimage Registration Deadline
The registration deadline for Pilgrimage is Monday, October 23 - registrations must be postmarked on or before this date in order not to incur the late fee. Registrations will still be accepted after October 23 but a $25 late fee will be added. The registration brochure for Pilgrimage is available at the website: www.nccumc.org/youthministry/events.html . Confirmation materials will be sent out beginning October 18 for registrations already received and from that date forward as registrations are processed.
Living into Safe Sanctuaries
The postmark date deadline for registrations for the Living Into Safe Sanctuaries Workshops with Joy Melton on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28 is today - Monday, October 16. The registration brochure is available at the website: www.nccumc.org/childrnmin/safesanctuaries1.htm . Registrations may still be taken after October 16 but no registrations can be taken after Monday, October 23. For any registrations after Monday, October 16 - please first contact the Office of Children and Youth Ministries at 1-800-849-4433.
Church and Community Grant Request are due October 31
Church and Community Grant requests are due to the Office of Missions no later than October 31 to be considered Year 2007. Fax copies are acceptable if followed with a hard copy. If grants are approved, funds will normally be distributed by the end March 2007. Mission Team to La Esperanza Sheltered Workshop in Santiago, Chile
Ten slots available for a "journey inward - journey outward" with missionary, the Rev. Shana Harrison, April 20 - May 2, 2007. Each day will begin with communion and centering prayer. Mornings will be with the participants of the workshop. The afternoons will be filled with bible study, biblical animation, and visits to historical and contemporary sites where we might engage in considerations of peace making and justice. Evenings will be reflections of the lives of individuals in Christ as incarnational dwelling. Estimated cost will be $1250 for airfare and $500 for in-country expenses (may be some slight changes.)
